  1. Absolutely loved, this article from your friend Tim, Laura! Thank you for sharing it!
Socialism fails to deal honestly with human nature, by assuming the “basic goodness of mankind”.
    Scriptures says the following:

“9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?” [Jeremiah 17:9 KJV]

This is why mankind needs a Savior.
Capitalism [free markets], on the other hand, acknowledge that mankind will seek to do what is in their own self-interests. Given that, it is necessary to balance the self-interest of a seller and a buyer to conduct commerce. The Seller seeks to sell more product/service and receive compensation enough to sustain production and increase it by degrees. The Buy seeks to make a purchase (trade capital) for a product that has intrinsic value to meet his needs, tastes, and appeal to his sense of fairness. Both Buyer and Seller make compromises to effect the trade. This honestly deals with the truth of human nature, as the Scripture reveals about us.

When our hearts are transformed by the Spirit of the Lord, we feel the additional drive to serve others in a more altruistic (selfless) manner, but as long as we remain earthside, our human bent towards selfishness remains. Marxism denies the supernatural and puts “the state” represented by “the collective workers” in charge, and diminishes the role and rights of the individual. It is a panacea with humanism as its religion. It comes in disguised as a sheep, but later reveals the heart of the wolf as it is invited into the sheepfold.
Looking at the track record of Socialism wherever it has been tried, I see that it steals, later kills, and ultimately destroys. Kind of reminds you of another verse along those lines, doesn’t it?

“10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.” [John 10:10 KJV]

I think Socialism is just another mask the “real enemy” uses to deceive this generation and the next.

May you have a very blessed day!
